YOUTH REPORTS
2001 – Tuesday 16th May
Auchinleck Talbot 6-1 Cumnock Juniors
Scorers: Jamie Conn-2: Lochie Reid -1: Lewis Hood-1: Scott Whalen-1: Taylor Kerr -1
Man of the Match was Jamie Conn.
Sunday 21st May – League Cup Final
Auchinleck Talbot 1-4 Largs Thistle
Scorer: Jamie Conn
Man of the Match was Lewis Bell.
2003 – Girvan 0-2 Talbot
A good victory and a pleasing clean sheet away from home. John Johnstone had the boys 1-0 up inside the first 5 minutes. Talbot had chances but couldn’t double the advantage. Second half was the same as the first with mostly Talbot playing the football but not making the chances count. Until Zak smith made the tie safe with the second goal. The boys are capable of playing better but stuck to the task and ground out a good away result.
2007 – The boys were at home to Ayr Boswell on Saturday. Again, apart from one or two, it was a below par performance. Not enough desire being shown from the boys. Enthusiasm from some is sadly lacking at the moment. You can have all the ability in the world but the effort needs to come with it. As soon as it does come, the improvement will be phenomenal. We started the season so well and in the odd game recently have still played really well. But the past two weeks have been really poor. Let’s pick it up again boys and show everyone what you can do.

Auchinleck Talbot would like to congratulate Glenafton Athletic on their capture of the West of Scotland Premier League title. League tables do not lie and they have proved to be the most consistent team in this seasons title chase. We wish them well and hope that they and their supporters enjoy their celebrations. Well done.
Talbot have signed former Partick Thistle youth development player Jamie Whyte from Ayrshire Amateur Premier Division side Clark Drive. 20 year old Jamie is a central defender and made his debut on Wednesday night against Ardrossan Winton Rovers. He fitted in well in the Talbot rearguard and capped his performance off with a goal.
Jamie has had spells at Tass Boys Club and Junior experience with Saltcoats Victoria. Welcome to Beechwood.

YOUTH REPORTS
2001 – Auchinleck Talbot 1 – 4 KSC. Goal from Conan Mackin. Man of the Match Jamie Conn.
The team are in a league cup final on Sunday 21st May at 1030 at Kilwinning Sports Club against Largs. If at a loose end then why not come along and support the boys.
2003 – Talbot 3-3 Knockroon. The local derby, and the boys found themselves up against it when they lost two goals in quick succession and found themselves down 2-0 in what had been an even game. The boys took the game to them though and found themselves back in it and 2-2 at half time with John Johnstone and Josh Jones scoring either side of a red card for abusive language by the opposition directed toward the referee. Second half, the boys were working hard to take advantage and Josh Jones just curled one past the post. Cameron McBride came up from right back though and stuck one past the keeper and Talbot were deservedly up 3-2. The game stayed at that until the last 30 seconds when a wrong offside call by the referee against Michael Kane gave Knockroon a free kick which they took quickly and caught the Talbot boys out and harshly let them snatch a draw. It was a great overall performance from the Talbot boy’s right throughout the team.
2005 – This weekend Auchinleck Talbot 2005s had a local derby against Cumnock. It was a highly anticipated game front both sets of fans as every game has seen a close evenly matched game. In the first 10 minutes the two teams were trying to find an opening when out of the blue Calum Wilson from well outside the box hit a thunderbolt shot into the roof of the net. Cumnock hit back fast and equalised, the game started to open up with chances from both sides then just before half time Calum Wilson took a pass from the Talbot keeper and went on a Messi run and beat about 5 players and hit the ball past a dispairing Cumnock keeper. In the second half again Talbot got off to a great start with Fraser Hume flicking a nice pass to Calum Wilson who was composed enough to round the keeper to slot the ball away for his hat trick. Talbot looked as if they were going to run away with the game. Then Cumnock managed to pull one back which added to the tension then Cumnock got an equaliser with 10 minutes to go. Talbot were just hanging on with the Talbot keeper Tre Allen pulling off some great saves. Finally the whistle blew for full time. This had been great game and a well deserved draw with the spectators clapping both teams off the park.
2006 – Free week
2007 – A home game against Caledonian on Saturday for the boys. It was a very sluggish start from Talbot which hasn’t been like them recently, particularly after last week’s great display. They found themselves a couple of goals down at half time which seemed to spark them into life. It really was a game of two halves, as the second half performance was much improved with Talbot dominating the half. The boys just couldn’t find the net as much as they should have but you get games like that. They need to continue with the way they played in the second half and the results will come. Special mention this week goes to Brandon Arthur for a good display attitude and good attitude.

YOUTH REPORTS
001 – Tuesday 25th April
Cumnock 2 Auchinleck Talbot 10.
Scorers: Jamie Conn -4: Lochie Reid -2: Greig Houston -1: Conlin Kelly -1: Taylor Kerr -1: OG -1
Man of the Match was Conlin Kelly.
Sunday 30th April
Valspar 1 Auchinleck Talbot 2.
Scorers: Lochie Reid -1: Jamie Conn -1
Man of the Match was Lewis Bell.
2003 – Troon 5-5 Talbot. Talbot were up against it playing top of the league and found themselves down 4-0. The fight and determination this season is there for all to see as they pulled it back to 4-4 before going down 5-4 against the run of play. Talbot again picked themselves up and went for it, and with a minute left got the equaliser they deserved. There were 5 different scorers which shows the will to get the ball in the net they had throughout the team. The scorers were Callum walker, Michael Kane, Kyle Shankland, Josh Jones and Michael McCulloch. Joint man of the match was goalkeeper Jack Jamieson for some great saves and Michael McCulloch for his drive determination and work rate.
2006 – Both Boswell and Tigers were at home against Glenburn mw. Boswell were slow to start and found themselves two goals down. The boys stuck in and soon got back on terms. From then on they were in control and played really well with great one touch passing and moving and some great football which was a joy to watch. Tigers started really well. Lots of good football and lots of effort and were rewarded with a well-deserved goal. Glenburn came back into the game in the second half and scored twice to no reply from us. Overall though Tigers thoroughly deserved a result from this game and played some great stuff which should have resulted in goals. Effort can’t be questioned and we were back to ourselves this week. Hopefully the boys keep up the good work and we can build on this weekend’s games.
2007 – The boys were away at Valspar on Saturday. Another good performance which started right from the first whistle. They boys played some fluid attacking football which put Valspar on the back foot resulting in Talbot scoring three goals, two of which were very well worked. Valspar came back into the game in the second half putting Talbot under a lot of pressure but once again the defending was excellent. Talbot were playing good counter attacking football at this stage but continually passed up excellent chances to score. Both sides than scored a couple of goals in what was an excellent match. Talbots recent good form continues. Special mention this week goes to Ryan Harte for his positioning and forward passing. An excellent performance.
