Many thanks to everyone who sponsored yesterday’s South Challenge Cup Match against Cumbernauld United. It certainly was a challenge, and needed a last minute goal from Connor Boyd to send us into round five. Our sponsor groups included a first time visit from Murray Coghill & Friends. The group are from Caithness and members of the Tartan Army, they use Friday night matches as a base to take in other matches as part of their weekend. We will be doing a feature on the group in a forthcoming match programme, and we’ll update this on the website too.

Martin Speirs and Friends picked Scott Schoneville as their Man of the Match and the award was presented by Martin who was also celebrating his birthday.

Scott also picked up the Old Crocks Award which was presented by Max Kuberski.

Colin Mitchell & Friends gave Scott his third award of the day with Colin himself doing the honours.

The Killie Travel Club award went to Corrie Armour, Allan Campbell making the presentation.

It was a case of what might have been as we overturned a first half deficit to lead the match only to lose a late equaliser. The sponsor lounge was filled to capacity, and it was great to welcome two groups, A & C New Electrical Ltd, & Glasgow Independent Funeral Care who were sponsoring a match for the first time. A mention too to Billy Eaglesham from the Mauchline Bowling Club group, Billy was celebrating his 70^th Party. Willie Young Loyal Supporters Club – Player of The Year Award for Season 2023-24

The Willie Young Supporters Club selected Neil Slooves as their player of the year. The presentation was delayed as Neil was on holiday on the awards day. Neil is pictured receiving his award from club legend Willie Young.

Man of the Match Awards

The Willie Young Loyal Supporters Club Man of the Match award was won by Tariq Abed and presented by Willie Young.

Lillian White & Friends also selected Tariq and Geordie McCrone made the presentation.

Tariq picked up his third award of the day, and his fifth in two weeks when he was selected as the Glasgow Independent Funeral Care Group Man of the Match. Jimmy McGlinchey presented the award.
