Jamie initially started his career at Rangers as a youth, prior to a move to Ayr United where he captained their u20’s for two seasons. He would then go on loan to Girvan FC where he won the league, prior to joining Benburb for their championship winning season.
Jamie then made a return to first team league football with Annan Athletic, before again returning to non league football.

Lewis Crawford

The 22 year old 6ft right or left back joins as a free transfer from Lowland side Broomhill and has been training with Talbot for the last three weeks, which gave Tucker the chance to run the rule over the player before offering him a contract.

Lewis has had experience in the SPFL and the lower leagues starting his career at Dumbarton U17’s and Clyde U20’s. He was released by Clyde in July 2018 and spent a season at Petershill before making the move to the SPFL with Dumbarton.  He spent over a year with the “Sons” which included a loan spell at Rossvale and an appearance at Pittodrie in 2020 when Dumbarton narrowly lost out to Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup.

In September 2020 he left Dumbarton to play with Linlithgow Rose for a season and then Broomhill who were managed by former Talbot legend Davie Gormley.



Chris Stafford

BIO: Chris was on loan from Greenock Morton FC until the end of the 2022 season, and then joined the club at the start of the 2022/23 campaign. He started his career at  Celtic Community Academy and Johnstone Boys Club before moving to Morton in 2013. He moved to the Morton reserves in 2019 where he had loan spells at Johnstone Burgh and Cumnock.


Aiden Wilson

Bio: Aiden can play central or left back and was used in these positions when going through the Kilmarnock Youth Academy. He was farmed out during this time to Lowland side Eudosport, but was released by Killie in 2018, joining Eudosport who were now called Caledonian Braves. He signed for Talbot in July 2019 and has been the team’s regular left back since then. During the lockdown he was loaned to Linlithgow Rose.



Gareth Armstrong

D.O.B: 01/12/1993

BIO: Gareth joined Ayr United’s Football Academy in 2007 and made his first team debut in the Scottish Second Division as a substitute on 7 May 2011 against Brechin City at Glebe Park. He was to go on and make a further three appearances with the “Honest Men” before being loaned to Troon to gain experience of regular first-team football in 2012. He was soon to make the move permenant where versatility saw him used at right-back, centre-back and midfield.

It was the worst kept secret in Junior football that Talbot were desperate to sign him, and after a couple of failed attempts he came to Beechwood in July of 2017.



Neill McPherson

COMPETITIVE DEBUT: 6th August 2016 v Muirkirk Juniors.

BIO: Neil joined Talbot at the start of the 2016/17 season from Darvel Juniors, but he spent most of his first season on the bench. However his patience was rewarded when he started to command some regular game time and since then has been a regular in the Talbot rearguard. He had a promising youth career but moved to the Juniors with Darvel where he enjoyed a couple of seasons playing regularly with the former ADL side.


Craig McCracken

BIO:  Craig joined Talbot after a career in the Ayr United Youth Academy. He was on loan to Talbot during the 2015/16 season where he was part of the successful league winning squad. He returned to Ayr  at the end of the season but joined Talbot at the beginning of the 2016/17 season on a permanent basis. Craig made seven appearances for the Ayr first team.
