Talbot would like to officially announce that Gareth Armstrong has signed with the club. Gareth was a member of Ayr United’s football academy,making his first team debut in the Scottish Second Division as a substitute on 7 May 2011 against Brechin City at Glebe Park.

Gareth moved into Junior football with Troon to gain experience of regular first-team football after a long education with Ayr United. His versatility has seen him used at right-back, centre-back & midfield, but he won the Player of the Year award in season 2012-13 at left-back. Gareth made his debut on Sunday against Kilmarnock in the 1-1 draw. Welcome to Beechwood.

HALL OF FAME 2017
Following this year’s voting process Hugh Lyden has been successful in being voted to be inducted into the Club’s Hall of Fame. The Organising Committee have decided that the late Cammy Hitchell should also be inducted at the same time. The Induction Evening will take place in the Talbot Social Club on Saturday 2 September 2017, music provided by Marc James. The Organising Committee would like to thank all supporters who took the time to vote for this important part of the Club’s history

AUCHINLECK TALBOT WISHES TO THANK ALL WHO HAVE VOLUNTEERED FOR THE BUILDING OF OUR NEW CATERING FACILITY

Talbot and Bonnyrigg meet at Beechwood this Saturday for a trophy donated by our ground improvement team Pro-Care. The trophy which is being held by Willie Headly will be played annually by both clubs as Pro-Turfcare also take care of Bonnyrigg’s New Dundas Park. Head groundsman for the Rose is Auchinleck lad Alex Mills who moved to the East a number of years ago. The kick off is 2pm and we urge the fans to get along to what should be an entertaining match.

Talbot and Kilmarnock battled out an entertaining match at Beechwood in the Steven White testimonial match. The game was played in a competitive spirit which thrilled to 400 or so fans who basked in the July sun. The match report from Murray, Pauls pictures and Aaron’s match highlights will appear soon.

Due to unseen circumstances Shettleston have pulled out of our pre-season friendly which was set for Wednesday the 26th of July with a 7pm kick off. We will now face Troon at Beechwood. Auchinleck Talbot would like to thank Troon for providing the opposition at such short notice. We hope you can come along on the evening and enjoy what always proves to be an entertaining encounter.

Beechwood Park will host Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock FC on Sunday to help celebrate the ten years that Steven White has been at Auchinleck Talbot. It’s hoped that Killie will bring a strong squad to the match and it will also be a chance for the Talbot fans to run the rule over the new pre-season signings.

Last season Kilmarnock also provided the opposition for the LSY testimonial where they won 3-1 in a hard competitive match which was enjoyed by a large crowd. Were hoping for the same sort of turnout this Sunday to help  honour a Talbot legend.

Talbot were handed a home draw against West of Scotland Central Second Division side Carluke Rovers after the first round draw was made at the West AGM tonight. The date for the match is still to be decided but it will be good to lock horns with a team we don’t regularly meet. The rest of the ties havecertainly have seen some tough matches scheduled with the all Premier clash between Glenafton and Girvan being the pick of the bunch. Holders Pollok have been handed an away tie but should be massive favourites against Royal Albert. The best of the rest should be Kilwinning Rangers v Irvine Meadow and Kello Rovers v Troon.
