You will remember the last time Talbot played Hearts my late Dad (Adam Montgomery) arranged for some busses to come to the miners club in Penicuik before the game.

I am getting in touch on behalf of the Royal Hotel http://royalpenicuik.com/ in Penicuik who would like to offer a similar opportunity for you on this occassion.

It was my Dad’s local pub and they have kindly erected a board with his name including a Talbot scarf (see attached).  It would great to have Talbot fans along and be fitting for family and friends with many I expect planning on going to the game.I have copied in Sie Rennie who runs the pub and he will make contact with further details on what he is able to offer. I realise at this point the game could be moved for tv.  But would be good to open dialogue asap and great to have fans in town should it all work out.

Firstly, a huge congratulations on your win in the Scottish Cup! A draw against Heart of Midlothian at Tynecastle in the next round is the reason for this email. I work at The Murrayfield Sports Bar on Westfield road in Edinburgh. We are situated about 5-10mins walk from the stadium. If you are looking for somewhere to go before and after the game, our pub would be privileged to have you. We have a kid’s license till 8pm, have outdoor covered seating and also do food. 16 television screens situated around the bar as well as great drink offers. I was wondering if you could post on any forums web pages etc informing your supporters that we will be open for the upcoming Scottish cup tie against hearts.
We would love to fuel your supporters with an array of hot and cold food majority of which is homemade. We sell hot morning rolls ,cold filled rolls/baguettes. Teas coffee. Homemade Stovies. Homemade soup. Homemade haggis&pepercorn, steak, or mince pies. Toastie/panini. This is only a snippet of the freshly made and homemade products we sell. We look forward to inviting your supporters to gorgie and wish you all the best for the game and in the future.

Auchinleck girls, Kaitlin Houston and Carley Wallace, were Talbot’s mascots for their recent William Hill Scottish Cup 4th Round tie against Ayr United.  They can be seen in the pictures below running out with the teams, getting photographed with both captains and the match official and then, receiving a memento of the day from Brian Paterson of Emerald Contracts, who sponsored the mascots for the day.
