TALBOT: Leishman, Crawford (Stafford), Ballantyne, McPherson, McCracken, Armstrong( Heaney), Wardrope, Healey(Park), G.Wilson, Glasgow(Mason), Taylor (Miller).
Talbot entertained a young Johnstone side who to be honest were under the cosh for long periods, but when they did attack they put the Talbot defence under severe pressure. Things had went to plan early for the home side when new signing Taylor rushed into the box and gave the visiting keeper no chance to make it 1-0.
Jamie Glasgow was being extremely busy in the half and on two occasions the keeper thwarted him. Just before half time Talbot went 2-0 ahead when Taylor was up-ended in the box and wilson made no mistake from the spot.
The second half saw Talbot introduce Stafford, Park and Mason to switch it up, but as usual it took the new boys a bit of time to bed into the game.
With the game becoming as dull as dishwater, like Saturday the last five minutes proved the big talking point when Mason was carded minutes from the end and Sterling pulled a goal back and with three minutes remaining the home fans had to endure a big push by the visitors.
