Prior to kick off yesterday, Graham Wilson was presented with the Player of the Month Award for December (see below image).  He accepted his award from Colin Chisholm, who was presenting it to him on behalf of the award’s sponsor Firstsight.

 

Auchinleck Talbot FC would like to congratulate Graham and to thank Firstsight for their continued sponsorship which is greatly appreciated by the club.

Talbot’s allocation of nearly 1,700 tickets for next weeks Hearts match sold out in the space of two hours after going on sale on Friday night. This means that the sale of tickets after todays Meadow tie has been cancelled. The club thanks everybody for their support. We look forward to seeing you next week.

Vaccine certificate checks
As per Scottish Government legislation, spot checks will be carried out at all entry points to Beechwood Park on 22nd January 2022. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination must be shown unless one is exempt. Both digital and paper vaccine passports will be accepted.
As of January 17th, supporters must be able to prove they are fully vaccinated – including the third booster jab (provided 4 months have passed since the second vaccination) The following groups of supporters are exempt:
Participants in vaccine trials
Under 18s
Those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons
Fans who are medically exempt or are participating in vaccine trials should carry proof of this. In addition to paper copies of a vaccine certificate, proof of vaccine status on their mobile device or proof of exemption, supporters will be able to show on entry a record of a negative lateral flow or PCR test result taken within the preceding 24 hours.
This record may take the form of an email from NHS COVID-19 Notification or a text message from NHS result. Copy of the text message or email can be shown electronically or via printed paper copy. We will not accept either a physical test, or a photo of a test as a record of a negative test.

CROWD CONTROL PROCEDURE
the following measures will be implemented to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all who attend the above match.                                                                     

AUCHINLECK TALBOT SUPPORTERS will occupy the Stand, the Terracing from the Stand to the Clubhouse, the Coal Road and Main Street Terracing up to the segregation point on the East Terracing.
AUCHINLECK TALBOT SUPPORTERS are asked to enter and exit the ground by the SOCIAL CLUB GATES 1 & 2.

IRVINE MEADOW FC SUPPORTERS will enter and exit BY NUMBER 6 & 7 GATES AT THE MAIN STREET END OF THE GROUND. On entering the ground access will be allowed for the IRVINE MEADOW SUPPORTERS to occupy the Terracing behind the Main Street End Goals to the North End of the Stand.

DISABLED ACCESS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE SOCIAL CLUB GATES.

DISABLED, LADIES     & GENTS TOILET FACILITIES AT COAL ROAD END OF THE GROUND.

CATERING FACILITIES

Both AUCHINLECK TALBOT FC and IRVINE MEADOW, supporters are welcome to use the Club’s catering facilities but are asked to return to their designated areas once served.

After an 8.30 pitch inspection at Station Park the Scottish Cup 3rd round tie against Craigmark has been given the go ahead. With the recent weather it was feared that the match would be a casualty of some inclement rain and snow, but thankfully we will be watching football this afternoon.

Talbot secretary Henry Dumigan was elected Auchinleck’s Citizen of the Year during a local poll held by the Auchinleck Community Council. Henry who has been secretary at Beechwood for the last 40 odd years has been a major inspiration to the club as they climbed from obscurity and now are lauded as the top club in non-league football.

Under Henry’s reign Talbot have had unlimited success on the field but his forward thinking has also seen Beechwood Park become one of the most up to date football grounds in the lower echelons.

Henry was quick to thank his family, the Talbot committee, the players and staff along with others who help out at the club for being behind him during the last four decades.

The Club has approved the installation of new a speaker system in the TALBOT SOCIAL CLUB AND JMK SPONSORS LOUNGE

 

ATFC TEA BAR – BEECHWOOD PARK

The Installation of an Industrial Kitchen Extraction Canopy and Fan system began on Monday 13 December, and is scheduled for completion soon.

Auchinleck Talbot would like to pass on our condolances to the family of Jim “Buller Reid. Jim was an unsung hero who through his “Buller & Friends act raised thousands of pounds for charity. He shared a stage with many sporting celebrities where he always stole the show with his wit and charm.  Jim was a good friend here at Beechwood but he never hid his allegiance to his beloved Cumnock Juniors and his proudest moment was being inducted into the Cumnock Hall of Fame.

Rest in peace Jim.
