Over 270 existing members have renewed their membership, in the past two weeks; we also have over 30 on the reserve list.

A wee reminder to existing members you have until 28th of February to renew your membership….

From the 1st of March the book will be open for new members, once we have a full capacity of members the book will be closed…

The Annual Sponsored walk will take place on Sunday 24th April at 11am. Participants will start from Beechwood Park, and head up Coal Road past The Birnieknowe before joining the Rigg Road and heading back to finish at Beechwood Park. Sponsor sheets are available from Jim Purdie, Shane Muir SNR and Talbot Committee Members. So please join in the event if you can and further show your support to the club.

Prior to kick off yesterday, Gareth Armstrong was presented with the Player of the Month Award for January.  He accepted his award from Maggie Paterson of Firstsight, which you can see in the below image.

Auchinleck Talbot FC can now confirm the transfer of Willie Lyle to Irvine Meadow X1 has been completed this morning. Willie has been a fantastic servant since joining on 3^rd August 2012 from Stenhousemuir FC, serving as Club Captain and playing a vital role in the Club winning so many honours during this time, we thank him most sincerely and wish him every success in his new venture.

TALBOT THANKS

Auchinleck Talbot FC wishes to thank everyone who kindly volunteered and assisted the club in the organisation, and match operation of our Scottish Cup Fourth Round Tie v Hearts. Also to our fans for the tremendous support given to our players, even though the game was well beyond us our fans continued to give their full backing which is very much appreciated by all at the Club.

Thanks also to Liddell’s Coaches who kindly provided a bus to shuttle players to and from Beechwood Park for the Hearts match.

The mascot for Talbot’s recent Scottish Cup tie against Heart of Midlothian was eight-year-old Oscar Leishman (see image below), son of Talbot goalkeeper Andy.

Oscar attends Lochnorris Primary School where he is in primary 4 and is following in his dad’s footsteps, as he’s a goalkeeper for Cumnock 2013’s.

Apart from his dad, his favourite Talbot player is Keir Samson.

We hope Oscar and his family had a great day out at Beechwood Park for the game and maybe in ten years’ time he might be the new Talbot No.1.
