Talbot and Darvel will decide their Scottish Junior Cup fate under the lights as the SJFA pencil both semi-final ties for Friday night kick-offs. The move comes around with Johnstone Burgh and Arthurlie designated Sunday slots as the governing body of the trophy tries to attract bumper crowds to the matches. Although the timings are not everybody’s cup of tea it will prevent a clash with the last day of the Scottish Premier League .

Both clubs are going well at the moment and so a couple of good crowds are expected, and if the Beechwood match lives up to last season’s 3-1 win over Darvel with goals from Shankland, Boylan and Samson then it will be a happy place for the Talbot Army.

The ties will take place at Beechwood on the 12th April with a 7.30pm kick off, the return tie being played at Recreation Park the following week on the 19th April with a 7.30pm start.
